Mark Cox, Managing Director, is a member of BlackRock's Technology and Operations Organization, responsible for Global Collateral Management & Payments and Global Trading Agreement Documentation. He is also responsible for overseeing BlackRock's US Investment Operations. Investment Operations spans Trading & Market Documentation, Transaction Management, Collateral Management & Payments, and Asset Servicing including Corporate Actions and Cash & Asset Operations, and Securities Lending Operations. The Global Collateral Management and Payments organization is responsible for collateral management of all of BlackRock's cleared and bilateral counterparty derivative and financing exposures across a diverse set of products including Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD), Over The Counter (OTC) Derivative transactions, Forward Settling Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) , Repurchase agreements (Repo) and Short Equity prime brokerage positions. The Global Trading Agreement Documentation organization is responsible for BlackRock's ISDA, CSA, MRA, MSFTA and GMRA legal agreements with trading counterparties. Cox serves on a number of committees including the Technology and Operations Executive Committee and Leadership Committee, BlackRock’s Global Trading Executive Committee as well as chairing BlackRock’s Collateral Management Oversight Working Group. Cox is an executive sponsor of the BlackRock VET network and serves on the board of Bottom Line, a non-profit that supports low-income, first-generation high school and college students from New York City on their path to a college degree. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2013, Cox spent 16 years at the CME Group Clearing House and held roles of increasing responsibility in clearing and trading business system design, operations, risk management, settlement, banking and collateral management.
